YUM YUMS in NYC

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

I love food. You love food. We all love food. This post is about the delicious food I stumbled upon in New York City.

Joe Shanghai's - Chinatown

Joe Shanghai's has soup dumplings to die for! My mom is crazy picky and she even loved them! I felt ridiculous trying to suck the soup out then stuffing the whole dumpling in my mouth. I looked like a squirrel getting ready for winter lol. They also give you complementary tea.

It's down in a small alley in Chinatown and right down the road from Little Italy.

Shrimp lo mein, soup dumplings, chicken fried rice ------>

BALLS - Greenwich Village

This was a really fun spot. Take a wild guess...they sell MEATBALLS! And, delicious ones at that! They give you an expo marker with your menu, and you just draw out what you want. Basically, there's like 6 different kinds of balls, and a ton of different ways you can get them prepared.

I even got a BALLS t-shirt!

This super cute place is in my top favorite finds for sure!

Orions - 395 2nd Ave

This diner is 24 hrs, and has literally everything! It was right downstairs from the Air BnB we were staying in, so we went at least once a day.

Not only was the food delicious, but the owners and staff was crazy friendly - by our third day they knew us by name!

I didn't get great pictures, but trust me... it's a great place.

Molly's - 287 3rd Ave

This traditional irish pub was established in 1895! It still has the same floors, seats, bar, and everything from the olden days. It even still has sawdust on the floor!

The Shepard's Pie, and the Chicken Pot Pie is to die for, but I'm sure all of their other food is fantastic as well.

The Stardust Diner - Time Square

Beginning around 4pm the line begins around the building... but it is soooo worth the wait! We came here on our first night, and man was it fun. The food is a little pricey, but you are paying for the service and the show more than the food.

The servers are all on, from, or trying to make it to Broadway, so they are super talented. While you eat the servers perform, but not on a stage like a show. They perform throughout the restaurant while they're serving you! It is soo cool and definitely worth the money. If you just google it, you will find so many videos of these talented servers.

Now I'm no food critic, but my tummy sure was happy! :)
